A gentle, safety-led, body-based trauma approach that works even without retelling painful experiences; and is designed to avoid retraumatization.
Somatic Therapy
Many of the people I work with come to therapy after talk therapy alone has not fully resolved what they are experiencing. Despite insight and understanding, their nervous system may remain on high alert, showing up as chronic tension, muscle guarding, emotional overwhelm, or shutdown.
Not all trauma is the same. Some experiences are remembered clearly and can be talked about, while others are held more implicitly; in the nervous system, the body, and automatic patterns of protection. This type of implicit trauma often does not respond to insight or traditional talk therapy alone, even when someone understands their history well.
Somatic therapy works with emotional experiences, stress, and trauma held in the body and the mind. I offer trauma-informed somatic psychotherapy grounded in a four-part integrative approach. I integrate EMDR-informed therapy, Flash Technique, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Somatic Experiencing along with other nervous-system-based methods, when appropriate. Together, we work gently and effectively with experiences that have remained “stuck” despite previous therapeutic efforts.
This approach is especially supportive for anxiety, trauma, grief, fertility journeys, relationship challenges, and ongoing life or work stress.
Rather than pushing for change, we focus on creating the conditions for safety and healing. Together, we support emotional resilience, authentic self-expression, and the courage to live in alignment with who you truly are.
My Four-Part Integrative Approach

Safety & Stabilization – creating a foundation of safety and support
-
Nervous System Regulation – helping the body settle and reduce guarding
-
Emotional & Memory Processing – gently working with experiences held in the body and mind
-
Integration – supporting meaning, resilience, and authentic living

Online Somatic Therapy
I primarily offer online somatic therapy, which many clients find to be a more contained and supportive way to work with the nervous system. Being in one’s own space can reduce muscle guarding, hypervigilance, and overstimulation, allowing the body to settle more naturally and access deeper layers of emotional processing. For many people, this creates a greater sense of safety and continuity between sessions. In-person sessions are available on a limited basis when clinically appropriate.

Somatic therapy offers a gentle, neuroscience-informed way to reconnect with your body’s wisdom.
I have developed a gentle and effective approach which integrates talk therapy, nervous system regulation, and somatic practices to support safe release of stored trauma, unprocessed emotions, anxiety and limiting beliefs, always at your pace.
For those drawn to a spiritual lens, I also offer intuitive and spiritually grounded support.

On a personal note, I enjoy staying active with family and friends, spending time in nature, walking my dog Mia, and living simply. I am doing my best to dodge stress and negativity, and my life is filled with outdoor adventures, peace, and joy; qualities I bring into my work with clients.
I also draw on my lived experiences with war‑induced childhood trauma, chronic stress and anxiety, the early loss of my parents, being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, and fertility challenges to support others on their path to healing, wholeness, and peace.
Because of these challenges, it feels natural for me to connect and support clients who have faced similar struggles.
I combine this personal understanding with my knowledge of neuroscience and gentle trauma‑processing techniques to help clients find relief, resilience, and renewal.

HOW IS SOMATIC THERAPY DIFFERENT FROM TALK THERAPY (CBT, ACT, DBT etc)
Somatic therapy differs from talk therapies like CBT, DBT, and ACT by focusing on the body and nervous system, rather than only thoughts and behaviors.
Unlike talk therapy, somatic therapy addresses how trauma and stress are stored in the body through movement, breathwork, and grounding practices.
Somatic therapy integrates the knowledge of neuroscience and works with the biology of the nervous system, supporting natural regulation rather than ignoring or trying to control our innate physiology.
Somatic therapy helps uncover and release emotions stored deep in the body that the mind has learned to repress.
Through gentle body awareness, clients can access hidden feelings and memories that talking alone cannot reach. Somatic therapy allows clients to gently access, release, and process emotions held in the body without needing to speak about them or risk retraumatization.
Approaches such as EMDR and the Flash Technique support this process by working safely with the nervous system and its natural capacity for healing.

Using neuroscience in therapy practice
**UNLEASHING THE POWER OF NEUROSCIENCE TO TACKLE ANXIETY AND CHRONIC STRESS!**
Many individuals are often unaware that they are living in a relentless state of stress, which can seriously impact their health and mental clarity. Did you know that anxiety is a response from our nervous system to stress? Chronic stress keeps us stuck in fight-or-flight mode, instead of allowing us to relax and recharge. By integrating neuroscience into therapy, clients can discover exciting techniques that soothe their amygdala and boost the use of their frontal cortex, leading to a powerful reduction in stress and anxiety! With simple methods like body-based grounding, deep breathing, visualization, and cognitive-behavioral strategies, clients gain the tools to take charge of their emotions and enhance their mental well-being. This body and mind-centered approach empowers individuals to reclaim their mental health and conquer the challenges of anxiety and chronic stress!
